Single Serving Chocolate Cinnamon Mug Cake


1/4 cup all purpose flour
1/4 cup sugar
2 Tablespoons high-quality cocoa
1/8 teaspoon baking powder
1 pinch Kosher salt
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 egg, beaten
1 Tablespoon vanilla
1 Tablespoon applesauce or vegetable oil
Powdered Sugar and Ground Cinnamon for topping


Whisk together dry ingredients in a microwave safe coffee cup (one that holds at least 8 ounces is best).
Stir in egg, vanilla and applesauce until well incorporated.
Scrape down the sides as you stir so all the ingredients get mixed together.
Place in the microwave and cook for 3 minutes.
Remove from microwave and top with a sprinkling of powdered sugar and ground cinnamon.
Serve warm.
