Lay the toothpicks flat in the bottom of the jar.
Stack the toothpicks in several layers if you lack room in the jar for a single layer.
Pour peppermint oil (or any other flavored oil, Cinnamon would be great!) over the toothpicks to completely cover the toothpicks.
Tightly cover the jar with the lid.
Leave the peppermint flavored toothpicks to soak overnight.
Transfer the mint toothpicks out of the oil to a baking sheet and let air dry for one to two hours before storing in an air tight container.
